The 4WD Controller is designed for straightforward and user-friendly installation:

Plug-and-Play Design: The system features a plug-and-play design with pre-wired components, reducing the need for complex electrical work. Only power, ground, and CAN bus (optional) connections are required.

Minimal Tools Required: Only basic hand tools and a few specific drill bits are required to complete the installation.

Clear Instructions: Comprehensive and easy-to-follow instructions are provided, ensuring a smooth installation process for both basic and advanced setups.

Easy Color Wiring Diagram: A simplified color-coded wiring diagram is included to assist you in making the correct connections easily and efficiently.

Transfer Case Compatibility

Borg Warner: Most 2011 and newer models F150 and Super Duty (Transfer cases with a “4A” (4-Auto) setting are not currently supported.) 2011-2014 may require 2015+ shift motor.
- Borg Warner: 2022 + Toyota Tundra *requires 2015+ Ford shift motor*
Powertrain Compatibility

Standalone (Non-CAN Bus): If not using a CAN Bus connection, this controller will function with any engine or transmission combination.

CAN Bus Connection (Recommended): Designed for most 2011+ Ford powertrain swaps using an automatic transmission. This method works seamlessly with standalone Engine Control Modules (ECMs), like Ford Control Packs. The CAN Bus Connection should work with most factory ECMs.
Note: In rare cases, when using CAN bus connection the controller may not function correctly with some 2011-2017 OEM ECMs; configuration instructions will be provided if the controller fails to function.
Intelligent Shifting Control

Ensures shifts are executed only under optimal and safe conditions by utilizing real-time data from the engine ECM (w/ CAN bus connection).

Features shift motor load sensing to protect the controller, wiring, shift motor, and drivetrain from potential damage.

Provides a precise signal to the transfer case clutch for seamless and smooth 4WD engagement, enhancing driving comfort and reducing mechanical stress.
Customizable Control Options

Design Fab Works Switch: (included with all kits) Provides a premium, durable control option for a more refined feel. It features a 58mm bezel/decal showing the current switch position. Included is a 30mm knob, but most standard knobs can be placed onto the switch. Allows flexibility for personalized control and customization themes.

OEM Style Switch: (sold separately) Provides the vehicle with a modern factory look. Included are retaining rings, which may be used as templates for installation. For 2015+ switch, there is also a spot to install the indicator lights into the switch panel for an integrated look.
Indicator Lights

Dual 12mm 4WD and 4 Low Indicator Lights: Clearly display 4WD engagement and 4 Low mode status, as well as indicating current faults or pending shifts.

Integration with Existing Cluster: Offers the option to wire indicators into the existing dashboard cluster for a cohesive and integrated appearance.
